Things to do in Greymouth.

Things to do here on wonderful West Coast of the South Island are exciting and unique. The Pancake rocks and blowholes at Punakaiki are spectacular. Punakaiki is on State highway No. 6 and has just been voted as one of the most 8 wonderous highways of the world by the Lonley Planet publication.

Shantytown Historic gold mining village (just 6 minutes drive from my homestay) is an amazing experience also with the vintage steam train rides being the main attraction for everyone.

Monteiths Brewery

Visit the Monteiths Brewery (started in late 1800's) and witness the making of a fine beer in open fermenters and coal-fire boilers, and enjoy a formal tasting of each beer style.

Go Cave (underground) Rafting (Backwater Tubing and Glowworms in the Taniwha Cave in Greymouth) and enjoy a free spa at the end of this amazing adventure.

Offroad Adventures Ltd

On Yer bike, Go Kart or SWD Argo Adventures is another amazing experience and visit the Lilliput minature village whilst there.

Visit our two local Greenstone (West Coast genuine Jade) shops where they manufacture their own unique handcrafted jewellery.

Walk in the rain forest bush walks unique to the West Coast. Some are just an hours duration and the Giant King Ferns are just awe inspiring as you casually walk through these public free walkways. I have enjoyed walking most of these wonderful bush walks.

Our latest testimonials

Verycomfortable accommodation. Excellent friendly "Hostess with the Mostest" and food to die for. Would recommend to anybody looking to stay in this part of the West Coast.
Wonderful host, beautiful home and lovely breakfast. Couldn't ask for anything more. If not for our tight schedule, could stay longer.
